Five-year old murdered in mom's arms

Danielle Esterhuizen, 5, wanted a Brat doll for Christmas but she was also looking for a present to buy Jesus. On Wednesday she gave Jesus the ultimate gift, her life.
She died after she was hit by a bullet as she lay cuddled in her mother's arms. Danielle went fishing at Riebeeck Lake in Randfontein with her father Diederick Esterhuizen, her mother Anel, her brother Andrico and a family friend, Ferdi Kleinhans. But the trip, which should have been a short night out, turned ugly when four armed robbers opened fire on the group and killed little Danielle.

Will South Africa Implode due to Crime?

ANC Education

This what happens when you appoint teachers with no education, is it any wonder?  I am sure of the 541 that failed 50% will represent the ANC in the future. In fact they are probably better educated then the current administration.

Mafikeng - Heads were set to roll in North West's education department on Friday after every pupil from Grade 8 to Grade 11 failed in a Ganyensa school near Vryburg.
Those in a nearby school had a pass rate of about 13%. Charles Raseala, the provincial education spokesperson, said it was a disaster.  "Clearly, there was no teaching in these schools. Incompetence and leadership problems were clearly to blame?  The headmasters of Kgomonyane Secondary School and Huhudi High School, as well as senior department officials, were called to Mafikeng for urgent talks with Pastor O J Tselapedi, the MEC for education.  Of the 667 pupils in grades 8 to 11 in Kgomonyane, one pupil was promoted after marks were adjusted, but Raseala said this was regarded as a fail.
Teachers called back to schools  At Huhudi, which accepts pupils only from Grade 10 through to matric, there are about 620 pupils in grades 10 and 11, of whom 541 failed. This did not bode well for the matric results at either school.  Immediately after Thursday's meeting, a team was sent to Ganyensa to investigate. Teachers were expected to suspend their holidays and to report to the schools on Friday to help with investigations. Tselapedi said disciplinary measures would be taken as quickly as possible against officials and teachers who had not performed. Raseala said the headmasters and teachers at the school could not blame their poor results on a lack of resources. In fact, resources had been made allocated especially, to ensure that they would improve their performance. Kgomonyane, for instance, had a computer centre and a science lab. Raseala said squabbles between staff and in-fighting in the schools' management structures were among the main reasons for the bad performance.

Parents want answers

At Kgomonyane, a new headmaster had been appointed in April, after the deputy headmaster had been acting in the post for a long time. This had led to friction. In March, a regional official had reported that problems could be looming, but "unfortunately, head office did not hear about it". Pupils and parents wanted answers from the department. Tselapedi said he would address them next Wednesday and until then he asked for calm so that the investigation could go ahead.

Borat in South Africa

NO ROBBERY, WE'RE BLACK

Burglars greeted their victim at the front door of his house in Kroonstad, Free State, and apologised for breaking into his house. According to them, they did not realise that he was black.

Sgt. Stephen Thakeng of the SAPD said that the owner of the house, who wishes to remain anonymous, and his wife was awakened by a noise at 02:00. Three armed burglars obtained entry into the house by forcing the burglar bars of a window. The burglars asked the man whether he was the owner of the house. When he replied "yes", they apologised and said they were under the impression that the house was owned by whites. They only burglarise white people's houses, they assured him.

The burglars took the man's cellphone, cut his telephone line, and greeted him by hand at the front door before disappearing into the night.

The Ugly Truth About Democratic South Africa

Here is an Essay written by Ilana Mercer

I sincerely hope that events in Iraq have inched Americans toward a less Disneyfied view of democracy. It is a mistake to doggedly conflate democracy with freedom, and "the freedom to vote" with liberty. Majority rule, especially as it applies in Middle Eastern and African countries, doesn’t always empower the right people.

Which brings me to another, less-than Magic Kingdom: my old homeland, South Africa, RIP.

The irony of President Bush’s December 8 meeting with Thabo Mbeki, South Africa’s president, went unnoticed. Democratic South Africa is yet another spot where the rule of the demos has turned a once-prosperous, if politically problematic, place into a lawless ramshackle.

South Africa is now the most violent country outside a war zone. The country, writes Scott Baldauf of the Christian Science Monitor, has “the highest recorded per capita murder rate in the world—with 59 homicides per 100,000 people … The US, by comparison, had 6.”  So violent is the “free” South Africa that, for a period, the freewheeling African National Congress government imposed an official blackout on national crime statistics. It now releases them once yearly.

Govt guarantees 2010 fan safety

OK, let me get this right, the ANC controlled government issues this statement….. "We guarantee the safety and security of all the fans and teams that will be participating in the 2010 soccer event,"

Now how is this possible considering its own citizens are being raped, robbed  and murdered at a astronomical rate. If it wasn’t so sad, it would be laughable. Here is how the ANC protects it’s celebrities Questions over Petersen murder  . Of course celebrities are not the only ones whom have experienced the wonderful efficiencies of the authorities, average citizens are also recipients of such protection.   Check out the Stats from http://www.nationmaster.com/country/sf-south-africa/cri-c...

Cash for Ministers from the World Cup

Give me a break, does the ANC and it’s cronies actually think we believe that there biggest concern is to insure the stadiums are built in time for the 2010 World Cup?

It all comes back to one thing CASH……”The second was the appointment of cabinet ministers to personally take charge of the construction and renovation process for the 10 venues to be used for the 2010 World Cup finals, overthrowing the main role of Danny Jordaan and his team.” Full Story

Can't Wait for the World Cup

Horrible, Terror, Unthinkable, these words are now commonplace when South Africans refer to everyday life with the country.  Everyday  news stories revel the disgusting actions of criminals with the cities of South Africa. "They beat her, they pistol-whipped her and then, just to get a reaction from her, Sandra Rabie's attackers threw water in her face"

Dealing with the news of violence is numbing enough now we can't even put up Christmas lights without them being stolen. I give up.   Check out this story The grinches that stole our Christmas lights

And for those who think the Farm Murders have stopped, well they haven’t.   “A Free State farmer and his wife have been shot dead in their home in the Trompsburg district, police have said, in yet another criminal attack targeting the elderly.” Full Story...

And to anyone thinking of moving to Jo’Burg  coming into South Africa, let me spread a little news on the efficiencies of the local Police department.   “Thieves have broken into the Johannesburg Central Police Station where they partied on liquor from the officer's canteen and raided a commissioner's office, according to a news report.” Full Story...  Too funny, yea, I feel protected, It is no wonder one of the largest industries within South Africa is Home Protection.

Now on to the World Cup 2010, well it would not be a truly South Africa Event without Corruption, for this is actually the favorite national Sport.  You have to love the ANC’s ability to adapt to the ever changes. Communism to Capitalism in a flash……“Mining magnate Tokyo Sexwale and former Scorpions boss Bulelani Ngcuka - both ANC members - stand to make millions after the Group 5 consortium emerged as the primary builder of the R1,8-billion King Senzangakhona Stadium in Durban.”  Full Story
